Next Session
We will be holding class again after the holidays, resuming January 4. The next beginners class will begin January 11, 2010. Don't forget to tell your co-workers! Please print out this flyer and post it outside your cubicle or on any authorized bulletin boards. If you refer someone and they stay the full session, you can get your dues waived the following session.

The Association website art forms references have been updated so all available reference PDF files are download-able to your computer and can be printed. Check it out! www.hanmookwan.org

Pay your Dues!
Please pay Amy club dues by the end of the month. Make checks payable to Han Moo Kwan Tae Kwan Do Club ($40). Cash is also accepted. If you don't see Amy, please leave it with one of the club officers.

No Class Tonight!
Tonight is black belt testing. Come back on Thursday.

Awards Night
Congratulations to those of you who tested!

The Awards Ceremony will be this Thursday, December 17, at 6pm. After, we will be heading over to Sunny Buffet for dinner at around 7:20pm (map).The price of dinner was included in your club dues, so all of you have no excuse not to come out and celebrate your progress over the last 6 months with us! Feel free to invite your significant other (~$13).

Sparring Night
Monday night, December 21, we will be having a sparring session since December's sparring night falls on Christmas Eve. Bring your sparring gear and your clipped finger and toenails!

December Club News

Testing is Coming Up!!!

Here are the test dates:

• December 10 – Beginners starting at 5pm followed by Intermediates Testing at 6pm
  
• December 14 – Advanced Testing (no Beginners or Intermediates Class)
  

If you want to test and can't make the test date, please talk to Kelly ASAP and have your test rescheduled. If you plan on testing and haven't filled out a test form, you must fill one out on Thursday.

Mid-November Club News

Sparring Night is THIS Thursday!!!
Because this month's sparring night falls on Thanksgiving, we are moving it to this Thursday. Remember to bring your sparring gear and clip your fingernails and toenails!

Extra Self-Defense Lessons on Thursday

Jeff will be holding extra self-defense lessons for those interested, on the third Thursdays of the month after intermediate class in the mirrored exercise room (the same we warm up in before class). This is intended only for intermediate class members (green belts and above).

What will be covered?

• More time to practice current techniques and more variations
• Address and expand individual attitude/approach towards the self-defense mind-set (your self-defense belief system)
• Discuss and explore hypothetical or real life scenarios and practice other options
• Learn new techniques
• Explore student suggestions (your worst scenario or something from the media)

Testing Dates

September Club News

Looking for a Few Volunteers for Diversity Day
Diversity Day is September 17, 2009 from 11:00am - 1:00pm in the B/163 Employee Connections parking lot. The club will have a booth to promote the club and answer questions.
