Sparring Night!!!
This Thursday is sparring night. Please remember to clip your finger and toenails and bring your (clean) gear! And don't forget to wash it afterwards.

Saturday Session
This month's Saturday session will not be this Saturday but the following one on November 8. Come for an extra workout! It's a good chance to work on techniques before testing which is coming up...

Testing Dates
The Beginner and Intermediate test night will be Thursday, December 4. Black Belt Testing will take place on Monday, December 8 (no intermediate class). Awards night will be during Intermediate Class on Thursday, December 11, followed by the awards dinner.

Election Night
We will be having an election on November 24, 2008

September Club News

Saturday Session
Saturday session is this Saturday, September 6, 2008. Come around 9:30am-12:00pm to get an extra workout in.

Testing Dates

Diversity Day
If you are available September 16 to help out during Diversity Day (11AM-1PM) to promote the Tae Kwon Do club, please let Kelly or John know.

LM 5K Fun Run
Our club is also sponsoring the annual 5K Fun Run at Lockheed Martin on Thursday 9/18. It will be from 10AM to 1PM at the Employee Connection. We will have a table there and probably a small demo as well after the run (you can help out still even if you are running the race). If you can volunteer for this, please let Kelly and John know and tell us what time and for how long you can volunteer. We will also need someone to help setup before the event as well.

August Club News

Sparring Night Tonight!
Don't forget tonight is sparring night. Trim your toe and fingernails before sparring. And please remember to wash your uniform and gear after tonight!

Remember, if you haven't paid your dues yet, you can't spar! So if you were planning on sparring tonight, I suggest you scrounge up some money. $40 for the 6 months, checks (payable to Han Moo Kwan Tae Kwon Do) and cash accepted (though checks are easier for me to keep track of).

August Saturday Session
This saturday, August 2, is an extra workout session. Come around 9:30am to get some extra practice in.

Next Beginner's Session
The next beginner's class begins July 14. Please start spreading the word about the next class! We will be having a demo for the beginners class that day so if you'd like to volunteer, please let Kelly know.

I'm starting to collect dues for this session so please pay me as soon as possible so that I can minimize the number of trips to the credit union. Make checks payable to Han Moo Kwan Tae Kwan Do Club ($40).

Clean Gear
Especially if you sparred last week, please remember to wash all your gear so you come to class smelling fresh as a summer breeze.

June Club News

Sparring Today!
Sparring is tonight. Please remember to wash your uniform and clean your sparring gear right after sparring to prevent any foul odors from developing while stuffed in your gym bag. Check out Best Practice 3 for some tips on cleaning your gear.

Saturday Session
We have a Saturday session next Saturday, June 7, around 9:15am-noon. This is a great opportunity to get an extra workout in before testing!

Testing
Thursday, June 12: Beginner and Intermediate Testing. Beginners start at 5pm and Intermediates start at 6pm, warmed up and ready to go.
Monday, June 16: Advanced Testing

Remember to have a patch on your uniform for testing and have a clean uniform and sparring gear. Get any primary objectives signed off well before testing!

Awards Night
Awards Night is June 19 and the dinner will be held at Frankie Johnnie & Luigi Too in Mountain View. More details to come.
